About the Weekend Events
Annual Pismo Beach Clam Festival
For 80 years, the Pismo Beach Clam Festival has brought generations together on California’s Central Coast. What began in 1946 as a community celebration connected to the city’s coastal identity has grown into one of Pismo Beach’s longest-running traditions.
Join Pismo Beach from October 17–18, 2026 for a weekend of family activities, live entertainment, local food, the Clam Festival Parade, and the annual Clam Chowder Cook-Off overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Clam Festival Day on Saturday, October 17
- Clam Festival Parade | Starting at 10:00 a.m. on Price Street. Free admission.
- Clam Chowder Cook-Off | Find SeaVenture Restaurant’s culinary team at this competition for the title of Best Local Clam Chowder! Sample entries and vote for the People’s Choice Award. Tickets required.
